HVBS started out as an online "virtual" business solutions provider focusing on virtual assistant ("VA") and online business manager ("OBM") services. But is wasn't long before we discovered that there was a great need for assistance in building and implementing solid business foundations that were missing from the organizations we were working with as well as the need for strategic business and accountability coaching for the business owners.
The foundations of these businesses weren't always missing because the business owners weren't aware that they needed them, more times than not, they were missing because initially the building blocks were part of their business plans but then time got away from them, the business took off, marketing needed to be done, employees needed to be hired and managed, plans got altered due to poor time management or "busyness" overwhelm and there wasn't anyone there to hold the business owner accountable or sometimes a business had grown so quickly that there hadn't been time to hire the right people for the right jobs - everyone just pitched in to cover as much as they could. They just hadn't had time to change direction and place the additional building blocks into place. We found that we were spending a great deal of unplanned and unnecessary time trying to fix operational problems and having to create and implement solid business practices for our clients, before even being able to move forward to provide solutions for their administrative and management needs. And even more to the point, we were spending a great deal of time having the clients want to "bounce business ideas" off of us, asking us to help hold them accountable for deadlines and giving business strategy and development advice. More times than not, we discovered that the business owner just needed a bit of guidance, someone to hold them accountable to meet their goals, a coach to keep them moving in a forward direction and assistance in the daily business "tasks & projects" which take up so much of the business owner's time. We find that working along with our clients on their practices, operations and strategies from the beginning of our partnership, changes their frustrations by empowering them with the tools and support they need to build and grow their businesses on a sold foundation for success.
